Tulip The First – These dwarf Tulips are one of the most intriguing tulips for the early spring garden. Red and creamy Yellow colours on the outside that open flat to reveal an inside of almost pure white with a centre ring of red.

Tulip The First is a dwarf tulip, therefore it is best planted at the front of displays, beds, borders and rockeries. It also looks fantastic planted in containers around the garden.

Plant from mid to late autumn this is later than most bulbs but a late planting can help reduce problems with the disease tulip fire.
Use only healthy bulbs, discarding any that show signs of damage or mould.
Plant at least twice the bulb’s width apart, and at a depth of two or three times the bulb’s height.
