Elephant Garlic produces very large bulbs up to 10 cm across.
The flavour is sweet and mild, unlike the more familiar kinds, giving it many more culinary uses. It is excellent for roasting or raw in salads. Alternatively, baste with olive oil, roast and the flesh becomes deliciously creamy. Plant and lift similarly to potatoes.
